Copy Desk supports a student’s editing process. A person remains responsible for the published work.

What the service provides

Copy Desk is an educational first-pass error finder for supported Google Docs text. It displays flagged original passages and rule references. It does not provide replacement wording, automatic corrections, rewritten documents or revised-copy controls.

Human review

The checker uses selected patterns, not a complete grammar parser, dictionary or AP Stylebook. A flag can be mistaken; an error can be missed. A zero-flag result is not approval to publish. The user and publication staff remain responsible for facts, names, quotations, consent, attribution and the final editing decisions.

Your content and account

Use the tool only with documents you are authorized to access. You retain control of your document; KHS Press does not claim ownership of its contents. Your use of Google Docs, Apps Script and account permissions is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.

Availability

Copy Desk depends on Google’s services, account permissions and platform limits. Functionality may change or be interrupted as the tool or underlying services change. KHS Press may update the checker and its supported rules.
